Campus Passage
Privacy Policy
Effective October 12, 2026 · Last updated October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what J Dock Holding, LLC, doing business as Campus Passage ("we" or "us"), collects through campuspassage.com and the Campus Passage service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. The short version
- We collect only what your plan needs. For each student, that is a first name, the entering term, the schools you add, and optional planning choices (for example, whether you want housing or financial-aid steps). We never ask for portal passwords, Social Security numbers, grades, test scores, or financial details.
- We never sell your information and never use it for targeted advertising.
- Students do not have accounts. Only adult parents or guardians sign up, by invitation.
- You can delete your account at any time, and deletion removes your household, students, schools, and plan.
- School information comes from schools' own public websites, not from your accounts. If you choose, you can also forward school emails to a private address so they can add to your own plan.

We never connect to your email inbox, your school portals, or your browsing on other sites. We see only the emails you choose to forward to your private Campus Passage address. The full text of a forwarded email is read to find matching sentences but is not copied into our database; the email itself stays with our email provider, Resend. You can stop forwarding at any time. Anything found in a forwarded email appears only in your own household's plan and is never used in the research we show other families.
3. How we use it
We use the information above only to:
- create and secure your account and sign you in;
- build, research, and update each student's plan, and email you about it;
- answer your questions and fix problems you report;
- protect the Service, our users, and us from fraud, abuse, and security threats;
- understand, in aggregate, how the Service is used so we can improve it; and
- meet legal obligations.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
4. How we share it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- Vercel
- What they do
- Hosts the website
- What they receive
- Technical data needed to deliver pages
- Supabase
- What they do
- Stores our database and handles sign-in and passwords
- What they receive
- Account, household, student, school, and plan information
- Resend
- What they do
- Sends our emails, including sign-in links, and receives school emails you choose to forward
- What they receive
- Your email address, the content of emails we send you, and emails you forward
- Anthropic
- What they do
- Provides the AI that researches schools' public websites and reads school emails you choose to forward
- What they receive
- For school research: school names and entering terms only, never anything that identifies your household. For forwarded emails: the text of the email, so it can find dates and steps for your plan
These providers process information only on our behalf and under their contracts with us. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
The counselors and organizations who share Campus Passage with families see only how many families joined through them, never who.
5. Students and children
Accounts are for adults (18 and older) only. Students do not sign in or have their own accounts. Parents and guardians enter a small amount of information about their students so we can build their plans, and they can change or delete it at any time. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Campus Passage is not offered by or on behalf of any school or school district. A counselor or organization who shares it with families does so on their own.
6. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, keep the Service secure, and remember display choices you make (such as whether to show sports and entertainment events). We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not allow third-party advertising trackers on the Service.
7. How long we keep it, and deleting your account
We keep your account information while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time in your account settings. Deletion permanently removes your account, household, students, the schools you added, your plan, your research requests, and anything found in emails you forwarded. If you sign up again later, you start with a new, empty account.
After deletion, copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 7 days before they are overwritten. We keep a minimal record that the deletion happened, without your household's details, so we can show we honored it. Technical and security logs are kept for up to 7 days. Feedback you sent may be kept without your name or email to help us improve the Service.
When your household's free access period ends, we keep your account open so you can still view your plan until you delete it.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls that keep each household's information separate from every other household's, and limited internal access. We test that one household cannot see another's information. Your password is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form by our sign-in provider; no one at Campus Passage can see it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use elsewhere, and keep your email account secure, since password-reset links are sent there. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
9. Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold your personal information and give you a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- delete your information; and
- give you the information you provided in a portable format.
Email hello@campuspassage.com from your account email address with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We may need to confirm your identity. We will respond within 45 days, and tell you if we need up to 45 more. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject line; we will answer the appeal within 60 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general. For Texas residents, that is the Office of the Texas Attorney General.
We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will email you before it takes effect and update the "Last updated" date above.
